Come Hell and High Water

The Southern Theater

Come Hell And High Water originated in our encounter with William Faulkner’s novella Old Man. His story of the great Mississippi River flood of 1927 led us to explore the quintes- sential American themes embedded in his work — race, relig- ion, politics, the dispossessed, the uneducated, the unforgiving forces of nature. We employed the diverse disciplines of narra- tive, character, song and movement to bring this profoundly American story to life.We hope you enjoy the ride and wel- come your response.
